It’s officially spring now, right? Y to the AY. I love spring and fall; they’re the perfect warm ups to the heavy seasons.

I hope you enjoyed my Irish Love series on the blog the past few weeks. I had fun digging things up from dear old Pinterest, that’s for sure! If you didn’t catch all of the posts, or want to be able to root around them a bit, you can check out my entire board of St. Patrick’s Day ideas right here. URL: http://pinterest.com/jessamazing/st-patrick-s-day-ideas. I’m now officially removing the “Irish Love” shamrock link from the top left of the blog. If you decide you want to seek the posts out, you can always do a search from the sidebar or top of the blog.
In other news, I either caught another cold or reverted back to feeling really ill after a great Friday of feeling totally fine. I spent all of Sunday in bed and called in sick to work today. My head still hurts but the rest of me is starting to feel better. However, I don’t want to take any chances, so I have to take some action to stop this constant sickliness.
I chew my cuticles, touch my face, bite my nails, rub my chin and otherwise consume about a million germs a minute. I need to curb this habit because most of the time, I don’t even realize I’m doing it. That is the first rule of my “End Illness-catching 2k12″ plan.
I started looking around Pinterest for some ideas- where else would I go? Why waste time on a basic Google search when I have millions upon millions of pinners to rely on?
I found this miracle drink, although it might take some courage to whip up and consume:
I’m also thinking of making some hot, hot water in my favorite coffee mug and then putting some Theraflu Powder in it to dissolve. Once that gets going, I like to put a towel over my head and keep my face directly above the mug to catch the fragrant and medicinal steam that comes from it. Once the steam quits fuming, the drink is cool enough to consume so then you get a double bonus because the medicine actually goes into your body. I love that stuff and will swear by all the Theraflu products until the end of time. Their warming nighttime cough syrup has gotten me through several severe colds and helped me actually sleep through the night on Saturday. Thanks chaps! You rule.
This one seems easy enough, too:
The common themes seem to be lemon, ginger and honey. I will have to keep that in mind.
I hope you manage to stay well and enjoy the spring! Hopefully the warm and lovely weather is here to stay!
